How It Works

Leave your tip

  • Call 912-234-2020.
  • After providing tip information, the receiving staff member will give you a reference number.

Our Website

  • Go to savannahchatham crimestoppers.org.
  • Check our Wanted Page and Attempt to Identify page for videos and information about other known crimes.
  • Send in a tip online using this tip form.

  • Send a text to CRIMES (274637).
  • The tipster can stop communication at any time by texting "STOP".
  • The next step is to type CStop2020 and then the tip information.

Once Law enforcement solves the case based on tip information
Crimestoppers will place the reward money at a certain location. The tipster
will pick up their cash without showing ID.

Completely Anonymous

  • The tipster's phone number will not be displayed on caller ID or traced.
  • Phone numbers, e-mail addresses, and IP addresses are NEVER captured, tracked, or saved.
Information on any crime can be reported.

Following Up

  • After one week, the tipster can follow up on supplied information by calling 912-234-2020.
  • After filling out the online form, tipsters automatically receive a computer generated reference number.
  • Tipster will begin a text conversation with a staff member.
  • Tipster will be advised to leave the text conversation open if there is information that could lead to an arrest or indictment.
  • NOTE: For safety reasons, we encourage tipsters to delete all text communications.

When a tip leads to an arrest, YOU are eligible to receive a reward up to $2500.
(Reward amount based upon Crime Stoppers Board of Director's Reviews.)

The tipster will call 912-234-2020 to find out how to pick up their reward.

Qualifications for Receiving a Reward:

A tipster is entitled to one reward per reported criminal activity. If more than one person furnished information about the same crime or fugitive, the reward may be divided as the CrimeStoppers' Board of Directors may determine, based upon the relative importance of the tipster's information.

Persons ineligible for a reward include the accused or co-accused of the crime, the victim of the crime or identified law enforcement tipsters funneled into the program. Sworn peace officers, law enforcement employees, CRIMESTOPPERS staff, volunteers and Board members are not eligible for rewards.

Reward payments not claimed by tipsters within 90 days shall be returned to the Reward Fund. Tipsters must re-contact CrimeStoppers to collect a reward beyond 90 days of the Board of Directors approval.
